President Barzani hosted the US ambassador to Iraq in Erbil

A readout of the meeting issued by the Region's presidency said that Barzani received on Monday evening the US ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Tueller in Erbil. The meeting discussed the third round of the US-Iraqi strategic dialogue that took place last week with the Kurdistan Region's participation and the future of US-Iraqi relations within the framework of this dialogue.

The two sides asserted their endeavor to bolster the relations of Baghdad and Erbil with Washington on the basis of common interests.

The statement added that the meeting, which took place in the presence of the US Consul General in Erbil. Barzani and Tueller discussed the visit that Barzani paid during the past three days to Baghdad and his meetings with the three presidencies, leaders, senior officials, parties, and Iraqi political forces.
