Shafaq News / Erbil Governorate issued, on Wednesday new regulations to confront the new coronavirus strain spreading.
A statement by Erbil Operations Room called on all citizens in the Governorate to commit to health measures.
According to the statement, Erbil banned all national events and memorabilia in March, while sports activities will be performed without masses.
Malls, shops, restaurants, schools and universities will still open with adherence to social distancing and wearing masks.
Night clubs and bars will close at 1200 a.m., while wedding halls, parties, concerts, funerals and conferences and meetings are completely banned.
These regulations will be implemented from February 24.
In the Same context, the administration of Bashmakh border crossing announced on Wednesday that it will be closed for two weeks as a way to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
An official, Ismail Ali, confirmed to Shafaq News Agency that the flow of commercial traffic through the border crossing between Iran and Kurdistan will remain the same.
Earlier, five border crossings were closed to tourists including, Parvizkhan, Shushmi, Khosravi, and Soumar.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Consulate in Al-Sulaymaniyah suspended granting visas to Iran for two weeks in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus.
