NES extends the total lockdown in all its regions

Shafaq News / The Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of north and east Syria imposed a total lockdown in all its regions, starting Tuesday until April 22, to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19.

According to the decision, all border crossings will be closed, but will allow humanitarian cases, patients, students, and commercial movement to pass.

Furthermore, shops selling foodstuffs and vegetables, hospitals, pharmacies, humanitarian organizations, media professionals, furnaces, and petrol stations are excluded from the decision.

And the Autonomous Administration of northern and eastern Syria had imposed, earlier in April, a total lockdown on al-Qamishli, al-Hasakah, Raqqa and Kobani, and a partial lockdown on the rest of the regions on April 6 until April 12.
