Kurdistan: minister denies allegations about him "insulting" clerics

Shafaq News / The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Kurdistan Regional Government denied, on Thursday, allegations about the Minister "insulting" clerics in a meeting in the Ministry.

The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, "the meeting was devoted to discussing the demands of clerics regarding the reopening of mosques and holding Friday prayers", indicating that, "an understanding was reached between the minister and the clerics".

The ministry said, "What was published on social media by some clerics that the minister insulted them or asked his protection personnel to beat them is not true".
