Erbil to ease COVID-19 restrictions
Khushnaw said in a press conference that the Supreme Committee to confront COVID-19 will hold a meeting, hoping not to resort to tightening health restrictions again.
However, the governor said that the concerned authorities will make sure the public places implement preventive measures.
Earlier today, the Supreme Committee to Combat COVID-19 in the Kurdistan Region decided, on Sunday, to ease the preventive measures.
Gotiar Adel, a spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Committee, said in a press conference that the Kurdish government institutions will open next Thursday.
He added that the partial lockdown will be canceled, pointing out that public places will be open and adhering to the preventive measures.
However, Adel confirmed that the committee decided to keep schools closed until further notice.
