After months of estrangement..the two main Kurdish parties meet in Al-Sulaymaniyah

Shafaq News / The Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan held a meeting today, Tuesday, in Al-Sulaymaniyah in Kurdistan Region, after months of estrangement due to political differences.

Shafaq News Agency reporter in Al-Sulaymaniyah said that delegations from both parties arrived this morning in the governorate, to hold an "important" meeting after months of estrangement.

He pointed that the Democratic Party's delegation was represented by Hoshyar Zebari, Mahmoud Muhammad, Ali Hussain. While the Union was represented by Qubad Talabani, Rizgar Ali, Shalaw Ali Askari, and Khasraw Gul Muhammad.

According to Shafaq News agency's sources, the meeting was arrangement and initiated by the President of the Region, Nechirvan Barzani, in an attempt to bridge the gap between the two parties.
