13,500 citizens dead and injured in Mine explosion incidents

Shafaq News / The General Directorate for Mine Action in the Kurdistan Region, revealed today that more 13,500 citizens were killed and wounded in Mine explosion incidents.
The Directorate said there are 255 Km² lands that still contain mines, noting that completely purifying the region from mines requires a huge budget.
Iraq is one of the top countries polluted by mines and war remnants that kill and injure dozens of citizens.
