The World Health Organization (WHO) in Iraq, concerned on Wednesday, about some citizens’ actions during the partial lifting of the curfew, and insisted to adhere to health instructions, And threatened to restore the full curfew in case of non-compliance.
WHO said in statement to Shafaq news that it’s deeply concerned about the actions of some citizens and advised to “fully comply with the preventive measures and recommendations of WHO and the Ministry of Health,"

WHO Also advised "to avoid gatherings and maintain the social distance “warning that "breaching these measures may lead to the reactivation of the complete curfew."

On Sunday April 19th, the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety in Iraq decided to lift the curfew in Ramadan from 6 a.m. until 7p.m. and to impose a penalty of 50000 dinars for those not committed to wearing medical masks, while the Iraqi Ministry of Health warned of a rapid increase in the number of Coronavirus infections, as a result of breaking the curfew, which led to crowded roads with cars and bicycles and the re-opening of many shops and markets.

The Ministry adviced to heed the warnings of WHO repeatedly in order to take full control of the situation and prevent the epidemic from spreading .
