Shafaq News / World Health Organization (WHO) noted on Monday, blackmail in Iraq related to the consumption of medical materials for Corona virus.
The representative of the organization in Iraq, Adnan Nawar told Shafaq News that "there are departments specializing in the issue of following up and monitoring the prices of medical materials, such as the inspection department in the Ministry of Health, as well as the Ministry of Interior, the Economic Crime Department and others, they must move quickly to monitor the work of drug stores and pharmacies, there are many complaints by citizens because of the high price of masks, as well as gloves, and there are monopolies by some of these. "
He added that "what some owners of drugs and pharmacies do is blackmailing citizens by exploiting this health condition, and for this reason, the competent government agencies must intervene to end these operations, as these actions are illegal."
