Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Finance submits a formal resignation from office
Kurdistan Region is suffering from financial scarcity caused stop paying salaries to employees , while officials have accused the federal government in Baghdad of being deliberate not to launch the region 's financial allocations in order to achieve political and economic gains .
Baghdad says that the matter is related to the adoption of the annual budget , which is the subject of disagreement .
Fadel Nabi told “Shafaq News” that " he has submitted a formal resignation to the President of the Iraqi government through Dr. Rose Nuri Shawis as the head of Kurds bloc in Baghdad."
He explained that his resignation is a kind of objection to Baghdad’s procedures towards the budget of Kurdistan “.
Ali Hussein al-Faili , a Kurdish official told “Shafaq News ", that" The Kurds are willing to donate their share of the federal budget to the poor people in Baghdad on the condition that that Baghdad would recognizes the reason for the existence of millions of people living below poverty line ."
Kurdistan Alliance said that it is likely the possibility of organizing protests in Kurdistan Region against the interests of Baghdad due to the delay in the disbursement of federal government for employees' salaries of Kurdistan .
Kurdistan government said in a statement recently that Baghdad’s’ policy is contrary to the Constitution , the law , all international conventions and the initial foundations of human rights.
It stressed that the budget cannot be used which is the employees' salaries as a pressure against Kurdistan Region .
The two sides are negotiating for months to reach an understanding about the Kurdish oil export via a new pipeline extending from the fields of Kurdistan to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean.
