Two Iraqi governorates surpass 100 Coronavirus infections

Shafaq News / Dhi Qar and Najaf governorates have recorded more than 100 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday.

"The results of the laboratory test confirmed, 58 people have tested positive with Covid-19 in Dhi Qar Governorate, a medical source told Shafaq News agency.

"Most of these cases were recorded in Al-Shuyukh district and other areas, the source added.

For his part, a health source in Najaf indicated that "the province recorded 47 new confirmed corona infections."

This come as Iraq is facing a suffocating crises where the Iraqi Ministry of Health announced on Friday the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Iraq since the outbreak of the pandemic reached 9,846 active cases, while recovery cases reached 4573 and the total infected cases under treatment mounted to 4988 cases, total number of those under intensive care: 63, indicating that the total number of deaths reached 285 cases
