Tight Security measures in Baghdad coincide with a prospective demonstration

Shafaq News / The Iraqi security forces have tightened their deployment and procedures throughout the capital, Baghdad, in conjunction with calls for mass demonstrations, which are scheduled to arrive from various provinces, towards Tahrir Square in central Baghdad.

The leader of the League of the People of Righteousness, Qais Khazali, warned that today's protests were intended to be subversive and will lead to the largest number of deaths.

While Basra witnessed yesterday evening, specifically in Umm Qasr district,   15 people suffering from injuries in clashes between the demonstrators and the army.
