The Iraqi Ministry of Interior suspends working in issuing documents for a week
Shafaq News / The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced the suspension of work on issuing documentary documents for a week after the outbreak of Corona virus in the country.
General Director of Civil Status, Passports and Residence, Major General Nashat Ibrahim Al-Khafaji said in a statement received by “Shafaq News” that “according to the directives of the Command Committee office 55 for 2020, and the momentum witnessed by the Civil Status, Passports and Residence departments by the reviewers and in order to prevent them from contracting (Corona) It was decided to suspend issuing documents in all departments of the Civil Status, Passports and Residence Department as of Sunday, 3/8/2020, for a period of one week.
He added that "the decision was made to preserve the safety of citizens from contracting the disease," noting that "humanitarian and critical cases are excluded from the decision."
