The heavily fortified Green Zone in central Baghdad exposed to a missile strike

Shafaq News / A security source and eyewitnesses said at dawn on Thursday, that the heavily fortified Green Zone in the center of the capital, Baghdad, was attacked by three missiles.
One of the rockets landed near the U.S. embassy, and the others were in front of Baghdad Operations Command gate, the source and witnesses told Shafaq News.
The source and witnesses added that sirens were heard in the fortified area after the attack.
For its part, the Iraqi Security Media Cell confirmed in a brief statement today the fall of two Katyusha rockets near Baghdad Operations Command, noting that the two missiles were launched from al-Nahda area.
