Terrorist attack thwarted in Kirkuk
Shafaq News / The Military Intelligence Directorate announced today, Thursday, thwarting a terrorist attack, via a bomb-vehicle, equipped with two missiles, in the governorate of Kirkuk.
In a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, the directorate stated that its detachments in the 14th division, in conjunction with the intelligence of the 1st Battalion 51st Brigade, managed to abort a terrorist attack via a Kia Bongo vehicle. The bomb was hidden underground in Al-Zab district of Kirkuk. The vehicle was loaded with Two missiles called "jahannam" and "Khilafa", as well as 20 mortar bombs of various types and 3 anti-tank mines.
The directorate explained that the vehicle was primed to carry out a terrorist attack in the governorate; Adding that the division's bomb squad ensured that the bomb was detonated properly. The entire operation was directly supervised by the Director of Military Intelligence, Lieutenant General Saad Mezher Al-Alaq.
