Shafaq News/ At least 55 demonstrators were killed in the Iraqi province of Dhi Qar during the latest events in the province, an Iraqi medical source said on Thursday.
RT quoted the source as saying that "the official statistics, which the government did not disclose about three days events in Dhi Qar, reached 55 killed demonstrators," noting that "among the hundreds of wounded there are serious cases, yesterday one of the wounded demonstrators died."
He added that "the total number of deaths of demonstrations in Dhi Qar province since the first of October last reached about 145 people."
Dhi Qar province witnessed clashes last week between protesters and security men.
