Positive indicators to reconcile in Bedaiwi’s case

The Iraqi political scene has worsened after journalist Mohammed Bedaiwi al-Shammari was killed by an officer in the Presidential Regiment last Saturday through some parties that seek to exploit this incident for political purposes according to election observers for political affair .

An informed source , who asked for anonymity told “Shafaq News " that there are " real and serious " efforts to reach a reconciliation between the family of the officer in the Presidential Regiment , Ahmed Ibrahim and Bedaiwi’s family.

He added that high-level Kurdish figures contacted with the killed journalist’s family away from the media to reach a reconciliation, noting that there are positive indications from them .

According to the source , if a reconciliation didn’t take place then a large blood money will be paid to reach a settlement and cancel the personal right while the legal right will remain in the trial of the officer Ibrahim .

Some pages of activists in the social networking site " Facebook " , circulated a copy of the letter issued by the Director of the Office of the Prime Minister of Iraq ( deputy ) refers to the existence of an effort to move the trial of Ibrahim to Kurdistan Region , but Shafaq News could not make sure if this news was accurate.
