Shafaq News / Hisham al-Hashemi, an expert on Iraqi political affairs said on Saturday that there are "serious" political discussions in Parliament indicating an approach to not granting confidence to the government of designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.

Hashemi explained in a tweet that "political leaders are seriously discussing not to give confidence to the government of Muhammad Allawi, after they realized that he was coming to parliament with a ministerial cabinet that he had not consulted them with."

He added that "one of the most important discussions was to collect signatures and submit them to the President of the Republic to dissolve parliament, announce early elections, and miss the opportunity for Allawi's government to obtain confidence in isolation from them (the MPs)."

It is supposed that Allawi, who was named prime minister after a difficult consensus reached by the political blocs, will present his formation to Parliament before the second of next March to vote on it, according to what the constitution provides.

Kathem al-Issawi, a security adviser to Sadr, threatened the prime minister-designate on Sunday to "topple" him within three days if he made some figures as ministers who belong to political parties, especially from the Shiite factions.
