Peshmerga accuses political parties of taking Baghdad - Erbil crisis as a slogan for electoral campaigns

, calling on the United Nations to support the solution of problems and outstanding issues between the two sides .

The Secretary General of the Ministry and spokesman of Peshmerga , Jabbar Yawar said in a statement reported for " Shafaq News " , during a meeting with the Director of the Office of UNAMI in Kurdistan Region , Sokol Kondi who talked about the agreements between the Peshmerga forces of Kurdistan and the Iraqi army that " According to one of the 15 points that were approved as a basis for joint action in the Kurdish areas outside the administration of the region and its content (any additional power can’t be installed from both parties in the Kurdish areas outside the administration of the region without the consent of the Supreme ministerial committees the danger in the regionand the need of the area “.

However, Yawar said, "It is clear that what Dijla operations have done is only against the district council’s decision to cut off its relationship with Salahuddin province and to be linked to Kirkuk”.

Jabbar Yawar pointed out that " our position in the Ministry of Peshmerga is that Dijla operations cannot take an individual decision in this regard , for the fact that the security file management in those areas is related to Article 140 of the Constitution ."

Yawar highlighted in another aspect of the meeting on the general situation in Iraq, especially the upcoming elections , saying that " some of the Iraqi political parties are trying to create its own political purposes , problems and crises of the Government of the region with the close elections and campaigning ."

Regarding the meetings of Peshmerga and the Iraqi army , the Secretary General of the Ministry of Peshmerga said " any meeting has not been held lately, and every time the Iraqi side delay the meetings under various pretexts ."

Yawar called on, United Nations to " work as it always to support problem solving and calm the situation for any emergency that happened ."

The Ministry of Peshmerga in Kurdistan Regional Government had said last September that the federal government in Baghdad does not respond to its calls for the resumption of talks on security coordination , especially in the disputed areas between the two sides .

Baghdad and Erbil formed joint committees to develop solutions for their outstanding files , including file management security in the disputed areas.
