Peshmarga: we have No presence in Anbar and our actions are subjected to Barzani’s orders

while expressed willingness to participate in fighting against regulations militant , and explained that moving to any area depends on the direct orders by the region's president , Massoud Barzani .

While local media in Kurdistan reported a call from Peshmarga Kurdish forces that gunmen belong to the Islamic state in Iraq and the Levant organization ( Daash ) are besieging them in Anbar province , while denied the existence of any military units under the Ministry of Peshmarga in the region.

“Even though the forces of Peshmarga are among the defense system of Iraq, but it has not received any formal requests to move its troops to Anbar province, where security disruptions and battles are taking place between Iraqi forces and the terroristelements ,” The Secretary General of the Ministry of Peshmarga in KRG lieutenant general , Jabbar al-Yawer said in statement to " al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper " briefed by " Shafaq News”.

Yawar expressed the readiness of Peshmarga forces to implement any orders issued by the General Command of Peshmarga represented by the President of the region , Massoud Barzani , who has the power to move the troops " wherever the need arise ."

Yawar added that it seems that there was a confusion with the media , as the forces that are there are under the command of Fadil Berwari , who is a Kurdish officer leading the Special Golden counter-terrorism Brigade, who is participating in the ongoing military operations there currently .

Iraqi forces of the army and police have launched a military campaign with the participation of a wide machinery and military aircraft in the desert of Anbar province, adjacent to the Syrian border to hunt down al-Qaeda .

Jabbar Yawar said in an earlier statement to “Shafaq News" that Peshmarga forces are ready to participate in military operations carried out by Iraqi forces in Anbar desert, if requested by the federal government .

The Ministry of Peshmerga have offered on Baghdad last August to deploy its forces in the hot areas of the country , especially the capital within an initiative to restore missing stability in Iraq.
