Parliament fails to approve the emergency law

A parliamentary source told “Shafaq News", “MPs absent from parts of Iraq of the Kurds foiled the session today”.

It was scheduled for MPs to discuss the situation in Iraq and vote on the emergency law, which was called by Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki.

Maliki's coalition, State of law held a conference and holds the absentee the responsibility.

Khalid al-Attiyah said at the conference which was attended by "shafaq News", that “we hold those who were absent the responsibility of not declaring a state of emergency in the country."
