Parliament begins voting on Al- Kadhimi’s government candidates

Shafaq News / The Iraqi parliament began after Wednesday midnight voting to give confidence to the candidates to occupy ministerial portfolios in the government of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.

The official Iraqi channel stated that voting was taken first for the candidate of the Ministry of High Education, Science and Technology , Nabil Kadhim Abdel-Sahib and voting will be taken on the candidates successively.

The parliament session was scheduled to be held at exactly 9 p.m., but it was delayed for more than three hours due to the last-minute discussions that were taking place in the corridors of parliament regarding the government formation.
