Obama and Saudi King discuss the dangers in Iraq
He said in a statement that Obama thanked the Saudi monarch on his pledge to provide 500 million dollars to help those displaced by the violence with the increasing control of the armed group "ISIL" on provinces in northern and western Iraq.
King Abdullah pledged last week to work to combat "terrorist threats" that tore apart Iraq in recent weeks.
The White House said that Obama and King Abdullah discussed the need for Iraq to form a new government including all factions "and unite all the different sects in Iraq."
Baghdad has blamed on Saudi Arabia for promoting the "genocide" in Iraq, but with the Saudis provide money and supplies to opposition fighters in Syria and denies supporting insurgents in Iraq.
The grant of Saudi Arabia amounting to 500 million dollars will go through the United Nations to address the humanitarian crisis in Iraq.
