Motahedoun: Nujaifi discussed with Erdogan formation of a new government

, most notably the formation of a new Iraqi government and find solutions to the tension situations between Baghdad and Ankara.

According to a statement issued by Nujaifi’s coalition and member of the coalition , Iyad al-Samarrai arrived in Turkey on Monday , where the latter held several meetings with Turkish officials , the most prominent is his meeting with Turkish Prime Minister , Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmed , Daoud Oglu .

The statement said that Nujaifi discussed the latest developments at the regional level and the most prominent developments in the Iraqi scene , as he discussed parliamentary elections file , the formation of the new government and the political map on the results of the electoral process .

The statement said the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and how to get to solutions and treatments for the tense situation between Baghdad and Ankara .

Relations between Turkey and Iraq have witnessed a decline and exchange of accusations in the background of Turkey’s approval to export oil from Kurdistan region through its territory after the federal government cut off the financial budget from the region.
