More than 600 accused and convicted persons released in Baghdad

Shafaq News / The Presidency of Karkh Appeals Court announced on Wednesday the release of more than 600 accused and convicted people by its various courts of bail and police release within ten days.
An official statement of the Supreme Judicial Council stated that "the criminal and misdemeanor courts and the investigation of the presidency of the Federal Court of Karkh Appeal decided to release (608) defendants and convicts by bail and discriminatory interference from the criminal court with police release from the 20th of March until 1 April."
He added that "this measure is in line with the directives of the Supreme Judicial Council as part of a series of preventive measures that it takes in order to limit the spread of Corona virus."
