Maliki said in a statement reported for “Shafaq News “, during a meeting with a number of tribal elders and dignitaries from various Iraqi provinces that " the ongoing military operations in Anbar has united the Iraqi under armed forces , and this is the real victory ."

“Anbar operations is the biggest hit to al-Qaeda which lost its safe haven in the sit-in camps, which is clear and known to everyone and declared in the media through threats to members of this terrorist organization from within these camps ."

An interview with al-Maliki comes following the announcement of Iraqi semi-official satellite channel earlier to raise the sit -in tents in Ramadi city in Anbar , but security sources have reported the outbreak of clashes near the arena and the uncertainty of lifting those tents.

“Sacrifices of the Iraqi soldiers are achieved by the Security and provided a suitable environment for the development of the economy and the work of international companies in the fields of construction and reconstruction, as they deserve recognition and appreciation for the great sacrifices in defense of Iraq and its people.”

According to the statement, al-Maliki praised "the role of the Iraqi tribes and its national position in support of the armed forces and security agencies in enforcing security and make Iraq free of Daash and other terrorist organizations".

The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces , Nuri al-Maliki gave the military sectors , one week to cleanse the entire Western desert from the presence of al-Qaeda militants , a day after the commander of the seventh Bridget and a number of officers and soldiers were killed to an ambush for them in Horan valley.

The Iraqi security are waging widespread operation in Anbar province to hunt down al -Qaeda militants , who have maintained their influence in the desert of the province adjacent to the Syrian border .
