Kurds withdraw from Parliament before voting on the budget

A parliamentary source told “Shafaq News " that “ the Parliament Speaker , Osama al-Nujaifi suspended the Council meeting for today until further notice .

He added that the reason for the suspension is the lack of quorum after the withdrawal of Kurdistan Alliance in today's session before presenting the budget law to the Council.

Kurdistan Alliance revealed earlier on Thursday that it is seeking to form a front with al- Iraqiya List, composed of 163 MPs in order not to pass the budget of 2014.

The Federal Council of Ministers has approved on Wednesday a budget bill for the current year 2014, despite the rejection of the Vice President of the Council of Ministers and by Kurdish ministers followed by their withdrawal from the voting session .

It is scheduled for the President of Kurdistan Regional Government , Nechirvan Barzani to go to Baghdad at the head of a government delegation in the next few days to discuss the differences between Baghdad and Erbil on the budget bill and the export of oil from the region to Turkey via a new pipeline .
