Kurdistan : Region’s oil extraction and export took place with Baghdad knowledge since the beginning

from Kurdistan region took place with the knowledge of the federal government in Baghdad .

In a statement to foreign relations official in KRG , Falah Mustafa , reported for " Shafaq News " , that “ Kurdistan is committed to the Iraqi constitution with regard to the extraction and sale of oil from the region , pointing out that its activities fall within the constitutional framework by the acknowledgment of many foreign legal institutions .

He added that this process since its beginnings until today was carried out with the knowledge of Baghdad , noting that Baghdad is seeking from the beginning to create problems and obstacles for the region and for companies contracting with it.

However, nevertheless such attempt did not succeed, noting that the work in the file is being done in its right direction.

He stressed that the work will continue in accordance with the Constitution , noting that the region open the doors for dialogue and understanding with Baghdad in order to find solutions to address this issue and reach a common understanding .

Mustafa remarks came during a meeting on Wednesday , with diplomats and representatives of foreign countries in Kurdistan Region , in the presence of his deputy Karwan Jamal and Assistance of foreign relations official , Seham Jebli in order to inform them of the latest developments in Kurdistan Region and Iraq in political and economic terms, according to the statement .

The statement quoted Mustafa as saying on increasing the number of international airlines operating in the region ,that it is important to increase the number of these airlines for tours directly between Kurdistan and foreign countries , stressing that it would enhance bilateral ties and recover the commercial sector .

He called for the provision of facilities for the process of granting visas for the citizens of Kurdistan Region to be able to visit those countries for trade , study, medical treatment and tourism.

Falah Mustafa highlighted on scenarios of forming a new Iraqi government , and said that the talks are going on now about the formation of a political majority , adding that the region believes that the option of the government in this way is inappropriate option in light of the current political situation in Iraq .

He said that during the last meeting of the President of Kurdistan Region , Massoud Barzani with the parties and the political parties in the region formed a joint team from the Kurdish side in order to discuss with the winning parties in the elections in connection with the formation of the new government in Iraq .

On the Syrian crisis , and the issue of Syrian refugees to the region , he called for representatives of foreign countries to provide more aid to refugees, especially during this period in which Kurdistan Regional Government is going through a financial crisis due to budget cut by the Government of Baghdad .

The meeting was attended by representatives from France, Iran, Turkey , Britain , Russia , the Federal Republic of Germany , the United States , Egypt, Jordan , Palestine , the United Arab Emirates , Italy, Romania , Netherlands, Poland and the envoy of the agencies of the United Nations.
