Ferst Sofi , Member of Kurdistan Parliament of Kurdistan Democratic Party told “Shafaq News ", that " Kurdistan Parliament has postponed naming the President of KRG and his deputy , because PUK didn’t submit its candidate , so the presidency of the parliament decided to discuss naming committees in today's session .

Sofi added , " probably , if the issue continued , the Prime Minister would submit a name to the president of the region individually to approve it ," noting that this issue took place a few years ago by PUK “.

Kurdistan Democratic Party said that the Vice President , Nechirvan Barzani is its only candidate to head the new government in Kurdistan region .

The parliamentary elections had been held in Kurdistan Region on 25 of last September as Kurdistan Democratic Party won 38 seats , 24 seats for Change and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan got 18 seats.

While Islamic Union came fourth with 10 seats, Islamic group 6 seats , and the Islamist movement got one seat .

The winning parties have agreed in principle to form a government in which everyone participate in it but negotiations on the distribution of cabinet lasted about six months.
