by a number of young men for refusing to dig a trench on the border between Kurdistan Region and Syria.

In a statement to foreign relations official in Kurdistan Regional Government, Falah Mustafa, reported for " Shafaq News " , that “ he denies any attack on the Government of the region’s representative in Paris , declaring that Representation doors are open to all.

On the demonstrators in front of KRG representation, Mustafa said that a number of angry youths gathered in front of representation to express their dissatisfaction with the trench on the border between KRG and Syria , adding that the representation , in turn has delivered their demands to KRG.

The statement added that a number of youths had earlier organized a peaceful demonstration in front of KRG representation in Brussels .

On digging this trench on the border between KRG and Syria , Mustafa said, to provide security and stability to Kurdistan Region , it is one of the priorities of KRG , pointing out that the situation in the Middle East is sensitive and must be signed by all the developments and that the security of the citizens is of our priorities.

Mustafa announced that Kurdistan Region is a legitimate region recognized internationally and dealt with it at the international level , calling to deal objectively with this issue , because KRG is committed to international treaties in respect to international borders .

He added that under past experiences in digging such trenches in Erbil and a number of other cities in Kurdistan , security officials in Kurdistan Region have realized the importance of digging such trenches on the border as well, stressing that the region does not want the infiltration of terrorists and smugglers to inside Kurdistan Region , in time that there is a legal border crossing between the two sides and open on an ongoing basis .

Regarding the accusations directed to Kurdistan Region , Mustafa described these accusations as " political outbidding ," explaining that during all meetings with senior officials in countries that enjoy the reins of the decisions with international centers , the region defended clearly for the just rights of Kurdish people in Syria and encouraged the international community to support the people of Kurdistan to reach their rights , so it felt that everything that has been said about this trench is nothing more than a political speculation.

He wondered when Kurdistan opens its doors to the such an enormous number of refugees and provide all assistance through legal means , why some are seeking for illegal entry and smuggling route , and where the interest lies of Kurdistan Region goes in leaving its borders open?

The authorities of Kurdistan has announced last week that it is digging a trench on the border with Syria in the framework of a security plan to stop the infiltration of militants into Iraq through Syrian territory , according to local officials
