Kurdistan alliance: Shahristani’s Office to release official declaration on 100 thousand barrels proposal

The President of Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani proposed that the region would export 100 000 barrels of oil per day via " SOMO " company as a national gesture of understanding with Baghdad .

Shahristani’s office welcomed the proposal of Kurdistan Regional Government last week and confirmed in a statement that the move is an important step in the way of reaching a comprehensive agreement.

The vice president of the bloc, Mohsen al-Sadoun told “Shafaq News ", that "The time is important for everyone, and the federal government has delayed its answer on the proposal.”

The chairman of the parliamentary Finance Committee, Haider Abadi on Sunday revealed the “failure" of the tripartite committee formed by the presidency of the parliament to resolve the differences on the budget between Kurdistan Region and the government to reach any results .

The Parliament has formed a tripartite committee composed of the Chairman of the Finance Committee , the parliamentary leader in the State of law coalition, Haider al-Abadi , head of Kurdistan Alliance , Fuad Masum , as well as the leader in al- Iraqiya List, Adnan al-Janabi in order to solve the crisis over the budget law .

One of the terms of the budget require the region to export 400 thousand barrels for " SOMO” company owned by the federal government and if not Kurdistan will face a truncated portion of its share of the financial budget .
