The official of the elections unit abroad , Faris al- Jubouri said in a statement quoted by Sabah official newspaper, that the unit of elections abroad, set up by IHEC oversees the electoral offices of states that have been opened in 14 countries, namely the United States , Britain, Germany , Sweden , the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, Denmark , Turkey, Iran, Jordan, United Arab Emirates , Lebanon and Egypt .

He added that there are five sub-centers associated with the administrative offices of its neighboring countries which are Austria, Spain , France and Germany and linked to the office of Norway linked to the office of Sweden and New Zealand is related to the Office of Australia .

He said that the countries were selected based on statistics collected from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the displaced and the parliamentary elections of 2010.
