Iraqi President: I will agree to early elections according to a new law

Shafaq News/ Iraqi President, Barham Saleh announced on Thursday a new election project in the country.

“I agree to early elections by adopting a new law and a new commission," Saleh said in a televised speech.

“We have started the presidency in order to enact a new election law that is more just and representative of the interests of the people, including the rights of young people to stand and address previous problems."

We have the right to replace the Electoral Commission with a new commission and to reconstitute its constituencies with a professionalism that is far from partisan," Saleh said.
