Iraqi Foreign Minister holds talks with the American ambassador
Shafaq News / The American Ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Toller, congratulated on Monday the Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein on the occasion of his assumption of office as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, while Hussein indicated that preparations have been made to start the strategic dialogue round with America this June.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahaf said that Foreign Minister , Fouad Hussein announced the completion of preparations to start the strategic dialogue with America, usually that it represents an important station that would frame the priorities in Baghdad and Washington, stressing the need to continue the positive development of various aspects of bilateral distinguished.

Last Sunday, the Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain , Abdullatif Al-Zayani, which is the second country after Kuwait to welcome him assuming the position. As he had received from his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah, a phone call in which he congratulated him on assuming the position and noted the importance of raising bilateral cooperation in a way that benefits both countries, and invited Hussein to visit the State of Kuwait.
It is expected that the "strategic dialogue" to deal with the fate of the strategic framework agreement signed between the two countries in 2008, which paved the way for the expel of American forces from Iraq at the end of 2011 after 8 years of occupation, as well as the nature of the relations between the two countries at various levels.
Washington and Baghdad will also study an agreement on the fate of US forces in Iraq, as Iran presses its allies in Iraq to expel U.S. forces from the country.
