Iraqi Defense announces killing a number of terrorists in Khanaqin

Shafaq News / Iraqi army aircraft destroyed an ISIS den and killed a number of elements in a strike in Khanaqin district in Diyala province

"Based on accurate intelligence from the Directorate of Intelligence and Security of Diyala affiliated to the Directorate-General for Intelligence and Security, the army was able to carry out an airstrike targeting a den located on the border between Jalawla and Qarah Tiba - Khanaqin district," a statement of the Iraqi Defense said.

It added that the den included elements belonging to the ISIS terrorist gangs, killing 10 of them.

In the same context, a joint force consisting of (L 74 F) and a detachment from the above directorate came to the scene of the shelling and clashed with terrorist elements who were present in the above-mentioned place where (4) terrorists were killed, including a suicide bomber who blew himself up during the clash.
