Iraqi authorities arrest a gang, including Asians, who kidnapped a foreigner in Baghdad

Shafaq News / The Federal Police Intelligence detachments operating within the Intelligence Agency at the Ministry of Interior based on information by a citizen, arrested a gang consisting of three accused, two of whom are of Asian nationality and the third accused is from the Iraqi nationality.

The Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Sunday, that the gang members "have kidnapped an Asian national who is a resident of Iraq."

The statement added that they were arrested south of the capital Baghdad and freeing the kidnapped person, their statements were recorded and referred to the competent authorities to complete their investigation papers.
