Iraq sentences 11 members of ISIS to death
Shafaq News/ Babylon Criminal Court sentenced on Tuesday 11 terrorists affiliated with ISIS to death for the crime of bombing a vital bridge northern the province that killed a number of members of the security forces.
The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement received by Shafaq News, that "the first body in Babylon Criminal Court examined the case of eleven defendants who confessed to belonging to ISIS terrorist organization and work in the so-called southern state."
The statement added that "the terrorists confessed of launching an attack they called (the invasion of Fadhliya) on a strategic bridge belonging to the Jurf al-Nasr area , northern the province in 2014 ended with exploding it fully , which led to the death of three and wounded 19 security forces stationed nearby."
The statement added that "experts estimated the value of the bridge at about 18 billion," pointing out that "the terrorists have confessed to other terrorist crimes in different places and times."
