Iraq responds to accusations of using its territory to attack Saudi oil facilities
Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Council of Ministers denied on Sunday accusations that it was using its territory to attack Saudi oil installations by drones.
The office of the Council of Ministers said in a statement received by Shafaq News“ Iraq denies what has been circulated by some media and social media about the use of its territory to attack Saudi oil installations by drones, and confirms its constitutional commitment to prevent the use of its territory for aggression on its neighbors , brothers and friends and that the Iraqi government will deal firmly against anyone who tries to violate the constitution , as a committee of Iraqi parties has been formed to follow up the latest developments."
"Iraq calls on all parties to cease mutual attacks or causing great loss of life and facilities. The Iraqi government affirms that it is following with great interest these developments, expresses its solidarity with its brothers and expresses its concern that escalation and military solutions complicate the humanitarian and political situation and threaten our common security as well as the regional and international security,” the testament added.
"Iraq renews its call for a peaceful solution in Yemen to protect the lives of civilians and preserve the security of the brotherly countries. It calls on the countries of the world, especially the countries of the region to shoulder their humanitarian and moral responsibility and undertake initiatives that put an end to this war which only causes big human losses and destroy infrastructure ,” he said.
