Iraq extends suspension of commercial traffic with Iran and Kuwait until further notice
Shafaq News / Iraq decided on Saturday extending the suspension of trade exchange with Iran and Kuwait until further notice.
A document issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, which was received by Shafaq News, stated that "the committee formed according to Cabinet Resolution No. (64) for 2020 is concerned with (setting up a mechanism to close border crossings and organizing the commercial exchange process to prevent spread of Corona virus, while setting up a mechanism to return Iraqis from abroad, after subjecting them to the preventive measures, decided the following to continue stopping the movement of commercial exchange in the land ports with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Kuwait until further notice.
The document stated that "the decision was made in order to preserve the safety and health of our dear people and to prevent the spread of Corona virus, and given the occurrence of new developments in cases of infection, according to reports received from the Ministry of Health and Environment"
