Iraq delivers the remains of 44 victims of 1980's war
Shafaq News / The border crossings agency announced that the Iranian side has delivered the remains of (44) soldiers of the victims of the Iran-Iraq war in Al-Shalamjah port border.
"The remains of the war were exchanged under the supervision of the Directorate of Receiving and Delivering Martyrs in the Human Rights Directorate of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and in the presence of the International Committee of the Red Cross," the agency said in a statement received by Shafaq News.
The statement added that "the remains are (44) , 21 of them have ID information and while 23 remains are unknown, found in joint excavations between the two sides in Basra and Maysan provinces."
