Iraq allocates $ 5 million to secure advanced equipment to tackle Corona

Shafaq News / The Ministry of Health announced that Ministry of Finance has launched 5 million dollars to secure advanced equipment to tackle Corona virus after the number of infections in the country increased.

The Director General of the Public Health Department at the Ministry of Health, Riyad Abd al-Amir said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency that "The Ministry of Finance has launched 5 million dollars to secure advanced equipment to tackle Corona virus," noting that "the amount was distributed to the governorates according to their population , density and ratios of cases infected with the virus. "

He added, "The Crisis Cell required the Prime Minister to secure an amount to purchase modern medical equipment and supplies to protect and prevent disease in Baghdad and the provinces."

It is noteworthy that the number of cases of infection with Corona virus rose in Iraq to 26 cases after the Ministry of Health announced yesterday evening Monday the recording 5 new cases 3 of which are in Baghdad and two cases in Maysan and Najaf provinces.

It is worth noting that the Crisis Cell issued orders and made several headquarters to tackle Corona virus, including the formation of a Crisis Cell in each governorate headed by the Governor, membership of the Health Department and support agencies to follow up and implement the decisions of the Committee and extend the suspension of entry of foreign arrivals directly or indirectly to another notice, in addition to suspending    schools and universities for ten days.
