Shafaq News / The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the American accusations that Tehran was responsible for missile attacks on American military bases in Iraq.

"Tehran's accusation of Aramco attack and the attacks on American bases in Iraq are just false allegations, and the Americans will later realize that they are wrong," Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said in a news conference in Tabriz on Saturday.

Mousavi added that Tehran understands that the easiest job for the United States is to launch charges.

Mousavi pointed out that the report of the United Nations Secretary-General on Aramco attack proved that Iran had no role in it, but Washington has accused Tehran from the first hours ... We hope that the Americans will accept the shame that will be inflicted on them regarding the attacks in Iraq similar to Aramco attack. "

Regarding the attack on the Iranian consulate in Najaf city in Iraq, Mousavi stressed that Tehran is awaiting the final and official report of the Iraqi government on this attack.

Mousavi added that Tehran had informed the Iraqi government of the need to protect Iranian diplomatic spaces and missions in Iraq, and said, "We are following the attack legally, and we hope the Iraqi government would prosecute the attackers of the Iranian consulate in Najaf and compensate Iran for the resulting losses."

On the other hand, Mousavi said about the French call for the release of Iranian prisoners who hold Iranian citizenship that "any amnesty for these prisoners in Iran should be in accordance with the law ... the prisoners are Iranian according to Iranian law, and we reject French interference in this regard because they are being tried for security issues in accordance with the law." .
