as a part of its response to the rebels who occupy Fallujah city west of Baghdad

The accusation was rejected by the Iraqi authorities controlled by rebels belonging to the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant ( Daash ) since January on Fallujah city ( 60 km west of Baghdad ) as Iraqi forces were not able to expel them . The rebels took control at the beginning of the year on some neighborhoods of Ramadi city (40 km to the west).

The Organization based in New York added that the violations committed by Daash Jihadist can be considered as crimes against humanity.

The Iraqi army declined to comment on the accusations , but Human Rights Watch said in its report that the military denied targeting the Central Hospital of Fallujah as Spokesman for Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki denied in a statement the use of barrel bombs .

The researcher in the affairs of Iraq within Warren Evers organization said , " If we take into account what has adopted by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.. then they have committed terrible crimes ."

But this cannot be compared to what this organization has done with the "crimes of the government that reneged from its responsibility to protect the civilians who respected its laws as well as international laws, according to the researcher .

The Organization confirmed on the basis of witnesses , a security official and residents that since the beginning of May , the Iraqi security forces have shelled barrel bombs on populated areas in Fallujah in an attempt to regain control of the city.
