Integrity issues a summon order against a former minister and a number of officials in his ministry

Shafaq News / The Integrity Commission revealed on Monday the issuance of an order against the former Minister of Health based on the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code, including summon order against a number of officials in the ministry.

The Investigation Department of the Commission, in detailing the case, pointed out that the Investigation Court for the Integrity Cases in Karbala Governorate has issued recruiting orders against the former Minister of Health and the Director General of the Projects and Engineering Services Department in the Ministry, as well as an official in a hospital of (400) beds in the Projects and Engineering Services Department, and four other engineers who are members of the Technical Committee by granting compensation in the same department.

The Department pointed out that the summon order came in light of the irregularities in the project of establishing (Turkish Hospital), capacity (400) beds in Karbala province, pointing out that the order was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code.

The Commission had announced earlier this month the issuance of a summon order against the former Minister of Health on the background of   irregularities related to the construction of a hospital with a capacity of (400) beds in Babylon province through the replacement of equipment and generators.
