IHEC distributes more than 2.6 million electronic voter cards

, while noted that the distribution of electronic cards in Baghdad , Anbar and Diyala will begin on the 20th of current month .

“IHEC has distributed more than two million and six hundred thousand electronic voter cards in fourteen provinces ,” The head of the electoral administration , Miqdad al-Sharifi said in a statement reported for " Shafaq News “.

He added that the electronic cards will be distributed to provinces of Baghdad, Anbar , Wasit and Diyala on 20th of current month after being received during the next two days, according to the distribution plan.

It is worth mentioning that IHEC offices in 14 provinces began two weeks ago, the distribution of electronic voters cards that coincided with a major media campaign to urge voters to receive it from the registration centers across the country , amounting to more than 1083 registration center .

IHEC embarked on the use of electronic voter cards to ensure and enhance transparency and confidence with all the partners of the electoral process and the development of the performance of their work .
