IHEC: Completing elections mechanism in Anbar need more time

, indicating that it is heading for opening polling stations in safe areas for the displaced people of some areas of the province .

The Chairman of the Commissioners Board , Serbst Mustafa told “Shafaq News " ,that "IHEC is currently working on the development of mechanisms for the parliamentary elections in Anbar , which require more time to be accomplished for the presence of changes on the ground regarding the return of displaced people and the displacement of others in a few areas."

Mustafa added that "IHEC will open polling stations for the displaced from areas controlled by terrorists in which IHEC cannot conduct elections in it or begin distribution procedures of voter cards and open polling stations , or bring international observers due to security threats ."

" Opening polling stations depends on the accurate numbers of data base for the preparation of the displaced families , whether within the areas of Anbar or in neighboring provinces that we get from local administrations or mostly from the Ministry of Displacement and Migration ."

IHEC, the distribution of voter cards in Fallujah city and some areas that are experiencing widespread of gunmen for fear of confiscating them.

IHEC said that elections in Iraq will not be delayed and Fallujah or any other city will not the cause of making a decision to postpone parliamentary elections .
