Human Rights Commission condemns targeting Shabak after attacks against them

Researchers believe that Shabak is one of the Kurdish communities, while the other sees them as a mix of mostly Kurdish clans, with a minority of the Persian and Turkish families , estimated of about 300 000 people, according to unofficial statistics.

Shabak sources say that violence that has swept the country since 2003, caused the death of more than 1,300 people from Shabak people.
