Shafaq News / Baghdad Health Authority / Al-Rusafa announced that four cases of Corona virus were diagnosed previously, they have undergone new tests and their results are negative (free of the virus), while it indicated the diagnosis of 4 new cases within the geographical area of ​​the department.

A statement of the department stated to "Shafaq News", that "the four positive cases that were previously announced in Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital, laboratory samples were taken from them after taking the necessary treatments and the result was negative for the four cases and they are in good health," explaining that " second tests will be taken for them, after 24 hours to confirm, and when the result appears negative, they will be discharged from the hospital.

The statement pointed out that "the diagnosis of four positive cases with new corona virus within the geographical area of ​​ Rusafa Health Department, two of the first males at the age of 65 years and the second at the age of 55 years recently returned from Iran and showed symptoms of infection with the virus after their return from Iran and after laboratory tests confirmed the presence of the virus, they were diagnosed in Sheikh Zayed Hospital. "

"The third case was for a 28-year-old woman and the fourth for a 55-year-old woman who developed symptoms and was diagnosed in Ibn al-Khatib Hospital of Rusafa Health Department."

The statement stressed that "all these four cases live in different places of the geographical area of ​​ Rusafa Department in Baghdad, and they are in good health and provide them with the best medical, health services in Ibn Khatib Hospital for transitional diseases."

Yesterday, the Iraqi Ministry of Health announced the confirmation of the diagnosis of eight new cases in Iraq: five in Baghdad and two in Sulaimaniyah, including the man who had previously died and was suspected of being infected, and the eighth infection for a woman from Karbala suffering from several chronic diseases, who recently underwent surgery and died later yesterday .

For his part, Director of the World Health Organization office in Iraq, Adham Ismail announced Saturday that health equipments and a number of senior experts in the organization had been sent from Switzerland to Iraq, while he confirmed that the number of recovery cases would increase in Iraq.

Ismail said in a press statement, "The World Health Organization (WHO) praises the procedures and decisions of the Crisis Cell in Iraq," noting that "the number of cases recorded in Iraq with Corona virus is few, compared to neighboring countries that have contact with Iran."

He added, "The number of cases of recovery from the virus will increase in Iraq," noting that "a shipment of medical devices and health supplies will arrive in Iraq on Sunday."

He pointed out that "a delegation consisting of six, who are considered senior experts in the organization, from Switzerland and Egypt will arrive   Iraq next Tuesday," while Ismail "thanked the Supreme Religious Reference for its unlimited support to confront this disease."

He explained, "The procedures in the airports are in line with the international health standards, in addition to the fact that most of the cases infected with Corona virus in Iraq are light and medium, and their recovery rate is very high."
