Crisis Cell recommends a lockdown in Iraq

Shafaq News / The Parliament Crisis Cell recommended on Saturday re-imposition of a complete lockdown in Iraq.

"Because of the lack of commitment to the instructions of health protection and the curfew, the increase in the numbers of contacts and intense mingle among people, we must return to the complete lockdown for a period of 14 days which are the last 10 days of Ramadan and days of Eid al-Fitr," the Committee’s Rapporteur, Jawad al-Moussawi said in a statement reported to Shafaq News.

“The emergency financial grant must be distributed to its beneficiaries before implementing this recommendation,” he added.

It’s worth mentioning that the Iraqi authorities have imposed a lockdown  put relaxed the restrictions recently last month, in order for people to go out to do their jobs, especially those with limited incomes, who complained about their financial savings running down.
