Covid-19 PCR kits shortage in east Baghdad

Shafaq News / An official source at the Iraqi Ministry of Health said, today Wednesday, that some hospitals in Baghdad no longer have PCR panels utilized to diagnose Covid-19.
The source told Shafaq News that some hospitals in east Baghdad and Al-Karkh among other hospitals, ran out of PCR kits since yesterday. The examination kits will only be available this evening at the Medical City and Al-Kadhimiya Teaching Hospital.
The Ministry of Health and Environment announced today, Wednesday, 21 deaths and 781 new confirmed Covid-19 cases around the country, reaching the highest rate since the outbreak of the pandemic in Iraq.
